Turn English into natural Nepali (नेपाली) for family in Kathmandu, colleagues in Pokhara or friends in Darjeeling. Proper Devanagari, the right level of respect, and no sign-up - just type, speak or snap a photo.
Nepali is the official language of Nepal and is also spoken in Sikkim, Darjeeling and Bhutan, plus a large diaspora in the Gulf, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Australia, the UK and the US. It is written in Devanagari, the same script as Hindi, but the grammar and everyday vocabulary are its own. The biggest trap for learners is respect: Nepali has several levels of 'you' (तँ, तिमी, तपाईं, हजुर) and the verb changes with each one. translator.im picks the polite तपाईं form by default so your message never sounds rude.
Everyday Nepali for trekking, family visits and first conversations. Tap any row to copy it into the translator above.
Large-language-model translation that reads whole sentences, not single words - so the Nepali you get sounds like something a person in Kathmandu would actually write.
The model reads your full sentence or paragraph before translating, so word order flips correctly from English subject-verb-object to Nepali subject-object-verb.
Messages default to polite तपाईं forms with matching verb endings. Ask for a casual tone and you get तिमी instead - ideal for friends and younger siblings.
Output is standard Unicode Devanagari with correct conjuncts and vowel signs, so it pastes cleanly into Messenger, Viber, WhatsApp, Word or Google Docs.
Switch to Voice mode, tap the mic and speak in English. Your browser transcribes it, we translate it, and you can play the Nepali back if your device has a Nepali voice.
Image mode reads printed English from a screenshot, form or sign right in your browser. Check the recognised text, then get it in Nepali.

Calling home from abroad, sending money, trekking the Annapurna circuit or volunteering in a village school - here is where an English to Nepali translator earns its keep.
Write to aama and buwa in respectful Nepali instead of English they may struggle with. The translation keeps the warm, polite tone family messages need.
Working in Qatar, Malaysia or Korea? Explain transfers, dates and documents to relatives in clear Nepali so nothing gets lost.
Ask for directions, rooms and food on the trail. Voice mode lets you speak English and show the Nepali on screen.
Prepare notices, timetables and simple instructions for schools and NGOs in Nepali that students and parents understand.
Three small habits that make your Nepali sound native.
Nepali verbs change with respect. Writing to a grandparent or a boss? Add 'formal'. Texting a close friend or a younger cousin? Add 'casual' and you will get तिमी forms like 'तिमी कहाँ छौ?' instead of 'तपाईं कहाँ हुनुहुन्छ?'.
Long English sentences with several clauses get rearranged heavily because Nepali puts the verb at the end. Short, clear sentences give the most faithful Nepali.
Nepali and Hindi share a script and many words, but they are different languages - 'yes' is हो, not हाँ, and 'is' is छ, not है. If a Nepali reader is your audience, use this page rather than an English to Hindi tool.
No account, no install. Type or speak English and read it back in Nepali seconds later.
