Is translator.im actually free?
Yes. Text, document, image and web translation are free for personal use. Pro and API plans are planned for teams and developers who need higher limits and SLA-backed reliability.
How many languages are supported?
Over 100 languages, plus regional variants. Coverage includes major European, East Asian, South Asian, Southeast Asian, Middle Eastern and African languages. Auto-detection works for any input.
Is my data private?
Translations are processed in transit and never used to train models. Documents are encrypted while being processed and deleted shortly after.
How accurate is the translation?
We use modern frontier translation models with context awareness across the whole text. For most everyday content, output is fluent and faithful to the source.
Can I translate a whole website?
Yes. Paste any URL in Web page mode. We render the page, translate visible text in place, and serve it through our viewer with links rewritten so navigation stays translated.
Is there an API?
Yes. The web app calls a Cloudflare Worker API backed by DeepSeek, with free usage limited by IP address. Team and developer API access will add higher limits later.
Does it work offline?
Mobile apps are planned with offline language packs for popular languages. Web translation requires an internet connection.
Can I use it for commercial work?
The free tier is for personal use. Commercial use will be covered by Pro and Team plans, including for client deliverables and product integrations.
